4th Grade Art learned about texture and collage art. Using their favorite animals, they created collages with newspaper and construction paper! I used my favorite animal, Jack, for my teacher example. Hope you enjoy our beautiful collages. This is Jack Kilpatrick :)
1st Grade Art made Valentine's Hearts! Using crayons and tie dye design, these hearts are bright and awesome! 1st Grade Art learned about layers, patterns, and space. Using tempera paint, torn paper, and colored pencils, they are creating beautiful seascapes at sunset. Check out our progress so far!
3rd Grade Art made beautiful, whimsical tea cups all stacked on top of each other! Using pattern, color, and repetition, the tea cups show each artists individual style and creativity. I hope you enjoy our lovely little pictures.
4th Grade Art made warm/cool figures! We learned about Keith Haring and his unique style of artwork. Then, we made our own crazy figures that show movement and pattern.
1st Grade Art learned about complementary colors. They picked 1 color for their background and the complementing color for snowflake.
Out of all the 1st-5th Grade Artists, 14 students had artwork selected to represent LSA in the Rodeo School Art Program. Next month, the 14 art pieces will go to the rodeo to be judged against other Houston area schools. 2nd Graders Madison Van Wie and Cerianna Steward; 3rd Graders Becca Stovall, Ian MacPhail, Cassidy Koons, Sophia Chen, and Sara Beck; 4th Graders Cassidy Vackar, Jackson Veron, and John Marietta; and 5th Graders Lauren Bailey, Madeleine Kimmel, Lily Cocek, and Mia De Los Reyes.
